Spooks working for the Indian government are working on a new operating system which will protect its sensitive data from cyber attacks.
The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) said that it is developing its own futuristic operating system so that hackers cannot work their way into critical systems.
According to Sify.com , DRDO director general V.K. Saraswat told hacks that the indigenous computing project was started in September and a road map is being drawn up.
However Saraswat said that the operating system would be similar to systems used worldwide using proprietary source code and architecture. This will give the Indians the security of owning a system unknown to foreign elements and thus secure.
The new operating system will also reduce the organisation's vulnerability and susceptibility to cyber attacks from internet, he said.
The OS will be used to secure the defence systems for computing in various research areas such as molecular computing and bio-molecular computing.
A team of 50 boffins from various defence labs in Bangalore and New Delhi will work on the project. Some private companies are also involved.

Conventional arms are worthless for destroying the United Sates. Nuclear arms to destroy the United States with a FIRST STRIKE -- this is the key -- are cheap and easy to produce with technology India already has. By prepositioning a couple of nuclear bombs in Washington and New York and letting the world know we have done so will give India freedom to test thermonuclear weapons designs, ICBMs, etc., as much as it wants, though India already has this freedom but for the nigger slaves. Alternatively, twenty kiloton bombs can be prepositioned in the largest U.S. cities and then Washington and New York destroyed with the warning that additional U.S. cities will be destroyed if there is any retaliation. The nuclear destruction of New Delhi -- without waiting -- is all that is needed to make India win.
Okay, supposing you can take out DC, NY, and other 'key' American cities. There will be a lot more really, really pissed Americans who DON'T live in those cities, and unlike Indian peasants, DO know how to launch nuclear missiles. In fact, NONE of our land-based nuclear missiles are located anywhere near our cities. And in the loss of our national command structure, those missile crews have standing orders to launch against those that dare attack us. Or did you forget NORAD? Doubt you'll be able to attack that...
And if all else fails, we have a minimum of a dozen Ohio class boomers hidden away in the seas again with the ability to detect and launch.
If you poo-eating monkeys attack us, India WILL be turned into a boiling mass of radioactive gas. All 1.2 some odd billion of you.

But that aside, developing an OS in secret is a recipe for disaster. Open source software, with many eyes reviewing the code, will mean better security.
Security is not obtained through obscurity. Read up Bruce Schneier for more on that topic.
How shall we rub the United States out of existence? I have said (see my blog) that in designing nuclear weapons for use against the United States, radioactive materials should be identified that can be dispersed over the territory of the United States, either via separate radiological weapons (“dirty bombs”) or as part of the regular thermonuclear weapons, that will so contaminate the territory of the United States with radioactivity that nothing will grow there for at least several years that can be consumed without getting a lethal dose of radiation. This will force the Americans who survive the nuclear bomb explosions on the four thousand largest population centers to eat one another till no one remains alive. The ‘salting’ of the territory of the United States with such radioactivity can be done in a separate operation -- such as by unmanned aerial vehicles -- after its four thousand largest population centers have been destroyed by regular thermonuclear weapons. In considering candidate substances that could be used to exterminate the population of a country by ‘salting’ its territory with radioactivity, let us examine Polonium-210 which was used in the death of former Russian agent Litvinenko in Britain. It is produced in nuclear reactors by irradiating Bismuth-209, has a median lethal dose of 50 nanograms, a half-life of 138 days and is reduced to about one eighth of its original radioactivity about 18 months after production. This half-life may be too short for the purpose above but substances with longer half-lives can be found. I have shown India will win a nuclear war with the United States no matter what the united States does.
The use of twenty kiloton bombs against Washington and New York is part of an alternative route to the same objective (see my blog). In my blog I have also shown the necessity for India to exterminate the intellectually and morally inferior white race.
In my blog I have said that on February 11, 2009 I wrote: The failure, on January 20, 2009, of a Brahmos missile to hit its target was followed by a RAW-arranged media blizzard of reports of the failure of India’s missile programs and of DRDO. I knew that that failure, as of the recent ISRO-made European satellite, was due to sabotage -- which I have repeatedly referred to over the years -- by C.I.A.-RAW. There has been no media blizzard of reports on the discovery that the United States had switched off, during the missile’s flight, the signal to the test zone from the Global Positioning System (GPS) which the missile used for guidance, resulting in the failure. This failure of the missile was pre-arranged by C.I.A.-RAW with India’s army chief, who was present during the test, to ‘neutralise’ what I wrote on January 15, 2009 about his having been bought by the United States and his rejecting various indigenously developed weapon systems, etc. After this “General Kapoor went on to let the media know that the army might call off the Brahmos deal. The proposal for purchase of 240 of the missiles for two regiments of the army, he indicated, was to be shelved until the missile’s capability was proven” ( "Mystery of an Indian Missile Test Flop" in Truthout, an online magazine). I am aghast that India should use ANY electronic support from the U.S. -- or Russia and other countries -- particularly in the defence field, much less for a signal to guide its missiles -- even after what I have written about “National Security Crisis Due To Microwaves From Satellites” (February 26 ‘06), “Why Are American Companies Providing India’s Satellite Navigation System -- Gagan” (October 24 ‘08) and a piece on March 23 ‘08; I have been writing to the press with such warnings since 1996-97; in December 1982 I warned about such sabotage in a letter to Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. After what I wrote on December 18 ‘08 about a similar danger from Russia and referred to the plans for Russia to lease out to India several nuclear powered attack submarines, Russia cancelled those plans. But, as I have said, similar dangers exist in importing nuclear power plants and numerous other kinds of civilian and military equipment. Sabotaging and suppressing India’s research and development by C.I.A.-RAW is also an aspect of the colonial grip over India which will only be broken with the nuclear destruction of New Delhi; see my blog.
After British rule, India has been under C.I.A. rule. I have written in my blog about how Robert Crowley, former Assistant Deputy Director of Clandestine Operations of the CIA, gave documents of his own top secret operations to his friend, historian Gregory Douglas and described in detail how the C.I.A. has done “business” with Russian intelligence agencies for many decades, how the C.I.A. directly arranged the plane crash which killed Homi Bhabha but relied on Russian intelligence agencies, with which it did “business”, to assassinate Shastri who had given a go ahead for an Indian nuclear weapons program. The Russian intelligence agencies -- large parts of which were brought on the C.I.A.’s payroll -- brought down the Soviet Union. After a letter of mine in Indian Express in the early nineties which appeared under the editor's heading “Grab This Opportunity” regarding a Russian proposal to form a Russia-China-India alliance, P. V. Narasimha Rao sent the head of India’s submarine-launched ballistic missile program to Russia to get help, where he died as Shastri did. When, in a letter to the press, I pointed out that this was the “help” the Russians had provided, the Russians hastily withdrew a delegation that was visiting India. It will be the easiest thing in the world for Russian or other intelligence agencies to install devices in submarines etc. with which they can track them and, in keeping with their “business” relationship with U.S. intelligence agencies, enable the Americans to track them, too. I have said there should be an iron-clad rule against importing ANY defence equipment and I have also described the perils of importing electronic equipment, nuclear power plants and numerous other kinds of civilian and military equipment; see my blog.
