Aussie Airline in porn swapping ring -

Red-faced Aussie airline Virgin Blue has revealed that it is investigating more than 40 employees after it found that work PCs were part of an elaborate porn swapping ring. This comes just days after worries over Australia asking incoming travelers about their porn habits.

According to the Brisbane Herald more than 40 employees in Beardie's airlines at the Sydney and Brisbane terminals had been caught taking part in a ''pornographic video swapping ring''.

The appropriately titled general manager of public affairs, Danielle Keighery, has refused to confirm that porn was being distributed, but said the workers had been ''made aware of the serious nature of the issue''

.
The outfit has had a few problems with staff distributing porn over its networks before.  Apparently a number had been dismissed in the past 18 months for a similar issue.

Keighery said that it was fairly basic stuff and nothing criminal. “We have a clear code of conduct and that includes the appropriate use of the internet,” she told the Herald.  We guess that means turning corporate networks into porn swapping rings is a bit of a no no then.

However the problem does raise the issue of security as it is difficult to see how a network which is clogged with virus laden hot porn could could have functioned for so long without being noticed by network administrators.
