Two people are to be hauled up in front of the judge after US prosecutors moved to file criminal charges against them for hacking into the iPad and stealing user data.
Daniel Spitler and Andrew Auernheimer, which are part of the Grey-hat hacker group Goatse Security which claimed credit for the stunt, have both been charged with one count of fraud and one count of conspiracy to access a computer without authorisation following a hack of Apple's iPad last year.
It is thought they were able to obtain the email addresses and other personal data of about 120,000 users including celebrities, chief executives, politicians and several senior government officials.
The pair were able to grab this data by hacking into AT&T''s servers, which affected iPad users who accessed the internet through the company's 3G network.
Spitler is expected to appear later today in court in Newark, New Jersey, while Auernheimer is expected to appear in an Arkansas federal court.
