Wikileaks claims that it has approached the Pentegon for help censoring another 15,000 sensitive documents before releasing them.
A Wikileaks spokesman in Germany, Daniel Schmitt, told the Daily Beast news site that Wikileaks was worried that some of the documents contained the names of Afghan civilians and others who might be endangered when the reports were made public.
The Pentagon denies it has been contacted by Wikileaks and we have to admit that this sounds unlikely given that the US wants to arrest Wikileaks supremo Julian Assange over the last batch of documents he published.
The US Defence Secretary, Robert Gates, and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mike Mullen, claimed that the release of those documents was potentially life-threatening.
Admiral Mullen said Assange, and his mates ''might already have on their hands the blood of some young soldier or that of an Afghan family'' - unlike the US military, then.
Assange has publicly denied that anyone was under threat by the last leaked batch of documents.
The Wikileaks disclosures have hit the headlines in Germany again this week after it was discovered that the Germans were handing over the names and addresses of people it wanted US assassination squads to kill.
This has surprised the Germans as the peace loving country has no history of arranging ex-judicial killings for military reasons. The idea of asking the Americans to do its dirty work for it is also very imprecise.
Thanks Julian!! Please keep focused....the American people are depending on you.
Wikileaks does fulfil a public interest function, but Assange comes off as a thrill-seeking self-centred, self-righteous well, his surname is descriptive in that regard. In his rush to publish, he did not consider all the implications involved in releasing unvetted raw data.
The U.S. government should contact Mossad to have this degenerate monkey liquidated.
Politicians and their rotweillers are behaving like cornered animals when confronted by a chihuahua.
If you they done nothing wrong the truth will vindicate them.
