A report on TechCrunch said that Twitter had locked people out of their tweetish accounts and said they needed to change their passwords to get in again.

That's because Twitter is worried it might have become part of a phishing attach.

Tweets, said TechCrunch, are in a spate from people being sent email messages saying they need to reset their passwords.

Phishing works because lots of people believe stuff that's in emails - they were probably fine until they clicked on a link in an email and set off the phishing galore. Most problems start when people believe emails. Sometimes internet users can be unutterably dim.

TechCrunch is here. Emails are everywhere.
