Just weeks after a colossal crash, Skype is at it again.
Minutes ago the chat and call service, recently bought by Microsoft, failed with users once again turning to Twitter to vent their anger and report the problems.
Some users have been merely met with that frustrating offline icon, while, like last time, others have been kicked out with no way back in.
This is the third major crash over the past few months. As well as the one in May, users also experienced serious downtime in December last year.
Once again, Skype's status page is reporting business as usual and normality.
We're starting to think business as usual seems about right.
*EyeSee Skype refuses to explain or comment any further than: "A small number of users may have problems signing in to Skype. We're investigating the cause, and hope to have more details to share soon." Some quick and easy research through Twitter reveals that to say "a small number of users" may be a tad misleading.
How about some real answers?
they must fix this
why al of a sudden since MS took over do we have this problems?????????????????
Is this just the beginning of the end for skype...........
Skype has been very, very very unstable during the past five years and their support and development have been below all standards. Utter crap.
Just after I purchased the Skype labelled cordless phone Skype discontinued its support in the software and making it work took quite a few man-hours and tests with older versions of Skype software. During all these years we have had lots of blackouts, unnecessary upgrades, crashing upgrades, sigh...
These are really bad guys who do not care about their paying customers and the Microsoft deal can only be a positive move.
