EU cautions Google over Street View - WikiCommunists

Let the wind blow high, let the wind blow low,
Through the streets in my kilt I'll go,
And all the lassies shout hello
Donald where's your troosers?

The European Union has asked Google to make sure that people know where its Street View vehicles are before a car with a camera on top trundles down your road.

It's not the first time that the EU has asked Google to beware of invading peoples' privacy but wants it to advertise in local rags when the Orwellian cars are in your neck of the woods.

That's if there are any local rags - Google's doing a pretty good job of demolishing the publishing industry all by itself.

We have a better idea than putting ads in newspapers. Each Street View vehicle should be fitted with a loudspeaker a bit like ice cream vans used to have, playing continuous music suitable to the area concerned.

So if the Street View car is in Scotland, it should play Donald, where's your trousers. If it's in Wales it should play There'll be a Welcome in the Valley. In France, it should play Non, je ne regrette rien.
