Apparently China's 1.2 billion people aren't enough to keep the notebook supplies a-churnin' according to a report at Digitimes.

Labour shortages will impact component makers' shipments throughout the first quarter of 2010 as most manufacturers are only able to manage about 70 percent of their orders in the face of continued heavy demand.

While the shortages have been rearing their ugly head since Q3 2009, shipments to global vendors shouldn't drop by any more than 6% thanks to a keen market, says the report.

The Eye suggests China outsources production to a country that is able to maintain steady production in contrast to China's tiny populace.
