Software giant Microsoft has finally decided to bury the Norwegian Blue of entertainment software.
A customer enters a IT shop.
Mr. Praline: 'Ello, I wish to register a complaint.
(The owner does not respond.)
Mr. Praline: 'Ello, Miss?
Owner: What do you mean "miss"?
Mr. Praline: I'm sorry, I have a cold. I wish to make a complaint!
Owner: We're closin' for lunch.
Mr. Praline: Never mind that, my lad. I wish to complain about this MP3 player what I purchased not half an hour ago from this very boutique.
Owner: Oh yes, the, uh, Microsoft Zune...What's,uh...What's wrong with it?
Mr. Praline: I'll tell you what's wrong with it, my lad. Its dead, that's what's wrong with it!
Owner: No, no, 'e's uh,...its resting.
Mr. Praline: Look, matey, I know a dead entertainment experience when I see one, and I'm looking at one right now.
Owner: No no he's not dead, he's, he's restin'! Remarkable player, the Microsoft Zune, idn'it, ay? Looks much better than the iPod.
Mr. Praline: The looks don't enter into it. It's stone dead. Microsoft are not supporting it, it is redundant technology. It is GOING nowhere.
Owner: Nononono, no, no! Microsoft is just resting the technology for a bit.
Mr. Praline: Um...now look...now look, mate, I've definitely 'ad enough of this. That Zune is definitely deceased, and when I purchased it not 'alf an hour, you assured me that its total lack of apps and development was due to it bein' tired and shagged out following a prolonged demonstration by Steve Ballmer.
Owner: Well, he's...he's, ah...probably pining for the days when Redmond was the king of all things computer related.
Mr. Praline: PININ' for the Days of Redmond's glory?!?!?!? What kind of talk is that? Microsoft pull support for it the moment I got home.
Owner: The Zune does not need support. Remarkable player id'nit, squire? Lovely interface!
Mr. Praline: I want a replacement!!!
Owner: Fair enough squire.
(pops around the back returns a bit later)
Owner: I had a look out the back and we have not really got a replacement.
Mr Praline: I see, I see, I get the picture.
Owner: I have got a Ventura
Mr Praline: Does it play music and digital content?
Owner: I dunno Microsoft has not told me yet.
Mr Praline: Right that will do.
