Senior graphics analyst with gravitas, Dr Jon Peddie, has been playing with a system that can support six monitors.
This is the six headed ATI based Eyefinity, explains Dr Peddie, and links together six 22-inch 1920x1080 pixel displays - amounting to 5760x2160 resolution.
It uses a 2GB GDDR5 graphics board running on an Intel based 3.7GH 4GB, solid state drive Nehalem system.
Dr Peddie says that the drivers are still in beta but by the 29th of this month, the final version is out, and he'll tell more.
He's getting his head round H-A-W-K, a Ubisoft flying game, and he's got some pix of the rig, right here.
Now hoped for on last of March'010, excepting FERMI Is Supposed to Preview then, excepting FERMI In 3rd Restrike & STILL Bumbleroo.
EyeFinty 6 Will Be 5870 2 Gb. Sales Should Be 100% of Supply On Launch. Wouldn't IT be Easier to Build 5760 x 2160 Monitor? Just For Sales? Just Stream 360+ Mb/s in.
Choice IS REAL, Get EyeFintyVI or Go Back To Tin Cans With String.
