Buffalo releases Intel-powered Terastation family -

Buffalo has announced some new network storage kit, the Terastation Duo, 4 bay, 6 bay and 8 bay - powered by Intel's Atom D510.

The line will ship with Superspeed USB 3.0, as well as four USB ports - two 2.0 and two 3.0.

Terastation features Active Directory Support which claims to simplify data management, as well as Schedule Power Management System for, er, power management. They'll include WebAccess meaning content can be accessed remotely through a mobile device, PC or Mac.

Terastation 8 has eight bays of storage shipping in RAID 6, while also offering support for RAID 0/1/5/10. It'll be available sometime this spring. The Terastation 6 also ships with RAID 6 and will be available in April, while the Terastation 4 bay is available in capacities up to 12 TB, as a desktop model, or as a 1U rackmount chassis with included rack rails.

The Duo has two bays, supports RAID 0/1 and can work with capacities up to 4TG - its aimed at smaller businesses. 

Buyers will find themselves with NovaBackup Business Essentials, including ten licenses, which promises to protect server data both locally and online.
