Cupertino has finally come clean and admitted that its shiny toys are made by suppliers who abuse their staff.
After years of saying that Chinese workers making iPads and iPhones had a good life and were closely monitored by Apple to make sure they were happy, it has finally admitted the opposite was true.
According to AFP, after a couple of years of reports of Chinese workers killing themselves rather than making another iPad, Apple admitted some of its suppliers continued to overwork and underpay employees.
Recently, workers for Foxconn, which makes Apple gear, threatened a mass suicide after the supplier reneged on a pay deal, because it felt like it.
The problem for Apple is that while Chinese suppliers were cheap, it was doing its image as a young, trendy, green, liberal company no good to be seen making its gear in sweatshops which polluted the Chinese environment. In 2010, Steve Jobs, Apple's co-founder, denied that the company supported worker-abusing sweatshops in a cross my heart and hope to die sort of way.
Red-faced Apple has since admitted that an annual internal audit of its supply chain showed that just 38 percent of the company's suppliers adhered to Apple's own standard of a maximum 60 hour work week and minimum one day off per week.
One third of its suppliers were negligent in managing hazardous substances, and the same portion were below standard in injury prevention practices. On the plus side Apple "believed" it has eliminated child labour among its final assembly suppliers. Wow, welcome to the 20th century.
The figures pour cold water on Apple's claims that it has closely monitored its suppliers, but now it is turned out that has not been enough. To solve the problem it has divulged its list of suppliers and said it would allow an outside labour rights group to monitor them.
Apple also divulged, for the first time, a list of 156 suppliers who provide 97 percent of its materials and manufacturing services by value.
Now, being denied the reality oka being denied the ability to be within The Present through one’s own volition, the next best thing thoughts can do is to imitate, just like the politicos and their insincerity, or The UN and their “Brothers & Sisters Act” and Uncle Sammy and its mesmerising “Democracy” nonsense. As such, when one acts/activates, one is then Of The Future, The Future being of objectivity/the-material-cum-projectivity/the-intellect. When a human acts, should he not be of true creativity by creating through being enlightened/absolute but is creating on behalf of his Fame & Fortune, he then produces a yellowish byproduct called “Ego” which is then deposited and accumulated on the top LHS of his brain. The more activity the unenlightened human indulges in, the more egotistical he becomes, A Complexity which will Elude him over lifetimes. Witness therefore, the egomanics that surround. Whether he is of the physique or of the intellect, his “head” is goin’ to grow bigger and bigger - as a result of the yellow stuff. Without one single exception, not even one out of the 7-odd billions because it comes with developing thoughts of The Future.
Now, being agresssive and egotistical is all fine and dandy except that a “Right-Sided” person then lacks conscience. Not only he is then so principled, he actually cannot control his lack of conscience when he is out saving, karing and posturing because his activity is fuelled from his animal legacy. To be fair to animals, they only lack conscience because they have no thoughts, having “relinquished” that gift for being guided 24/7 by “Nature”. But the partial human, partial animal [the “left-side” being one’s vegetative legacy] has thoughts and in fact cannot stop thinking. Just imagine what a lion or polar bear could do should it has full thoughts just like a human does? Yes, like the zoo is when you’d just stepped out of your abode. Funny if it is not sad we are talking about those poor real animals caged up in zoos.
Assuming the above is not a fairtale but is for real, what is “Apple-Foxconn” really doing? Like what all good politicians are doing 25/8, posturing and pretending to be conscionable, of course. Why pretend? Because the agrressive entity is into its future like Analysing, Plotting & Planning - until it flips onto its Abandoned mode after being the Control Freak - like being caught frolicking with some rent boy. The one thing those lacking conscience do badly is to pretend that they are conscionable. Due to the fact that those without a heart has little idea what the true feelings really are like, they always over-do the conscience bit. Like the copper who professed to being a 493-year veteran but has yet to see such a “shocking” incident. A real joker-in-progress. People have some suspicion about The Living-Dead, of course, but now that the mechanism behind being “right-sided” in somewhat known, hopefully the sideshow will not be so mesmerising. When a human is being mistreated by another, he automatically reverts to being innocence - that of becoming a mirror for reflection/introspection by the aggressor such that aggression might give way to Conscience, oka St George. Really !! because He is The Slayer of [the] Dragons [Within] - the Western variety not the Chinese variety, of course, the latter being an evolved snake. But as expected, human[ised] snakes find it hard to shed their scales, the common excuse being that there are jest too many scales to go through.
The gift of thoughts to humanity is to enable one to be conscious and then be aware of one’s humanity - to realising conscience. Due to the fact that a human is a creature of duality and is therefore of transience, the one who vacillates 25/8 if possible, when it comes to Conscience, it is not a one time and Bob’s yer Unc. affair, it is for the moment oka repeatedly - for whenever the opportunity presents in order to maintain one’s humanity/conscience thereby sustaining it. Once the habit of doing the conscionable bit becomes a somewhat permanent feature, one is then truly humanised to face the choice of being a permanently-constructive/evolutionary being or to being a permanently-destructive/devolutionary being.
Reality is self with others’ reality being one’s knowledge. Do not allow knowledge to overcome self or else they’ve gotcha, “they” being The Bookie, His Tentacles and their Tag-Alongs. A moment will arrive when the Immune System [IS], which has 5 dimensionalities, will be fully tested for its religiosity-reality. To Accept-Reject is to weaken one’s IS whereas to Witness [which should be confused with indifference, its poor imitator] is to strengthen one’s IS, the IS being of the antibodies, oka the angels within, which are also multi-dimensional entities and not just of the physiolocial variety, angels being principles and have no concept of life-death other than performing their duty. You wanna to be disease free, how pure is your heart, those with pure heart having their full complement of antibodies assembled ready for the onslaught of those lacking their heart whether the heartless is using Over or Under to unsync one’s Attention with the Attention of Reality.
