Our favourite Turkish site Donanimhaber, which has been the source of a few good AMD leaks, has got its paws on a three core Llano.
AMD's upcoming triple-core Llano APU will be flogged under the memorable A6-3500 handle. The chip is a bit odd in that it is similar to the quad-core A6-3600 except for the fact that it has one core switched off.
Donanimhaber tested it and found that it works at 2.1GHz with a 2.4GHz on Turbo, has 3MB of L2 cache and comes with Radeon HD 6530D graphics with 320 stream processors and a 433MHz GPU clock. It has support for 1866MHz DDR3 memory and a TDP of 65W.
It seems that other rumours about the chip are that it has a10.5-hour battery life, DirectX 11 graphics, and USB 3.0 support have been confirmed.
There are some rumours that the fourth core on A6-3500 could be unlocked but Donanimhaber did not try that. It also did not try to compare it against other AMD GPUs.
AMD has yet to release a price for the three core and it is believed to be hitting the shops over summer, with the rest of the A6-series line-up.
The A-Series includes seven laptop APUs across three families, and with more than 4MB of cache, and clock speeds as high as 1.9GHz in the dual-core A4 chips.
These chips will be stereoscopic 3D-capable, and support USB 3.0, OpenCL / OpenGL, AMD Wireless Display, and both 1600MHz DDR3 and low-power 1333MHz DDR3L memory.
