Samsung is to mass-produce a faster, energy-saving quad-core mobile microprocessor to power the third generation of its flagship Galaxy S smartphone.
According to Reuters, Samsung is sampling the Exynos 4 Quad to major handset makers.
The outfit is desperate to get away from the claws of Jobs' Mob which is spending most of its huge profits trying to sue its chip making partner as a sacrifice to the spirit of its former CEO.
The Exynos 4 Quad is based on ARM Cortex A9 technology.
It can do things like streaming a video on one core while the other cores connect to the web, virus-check, or calculate the square root of David Cameron's personality simultaneously.
Samsung is going to show off the Galaxy S III smartphone next week in London as part of a push based on the concept of the summer Olympics being held in driving South London rain for the first time.
