Glitch delays Intel Atom chips - report -

Problems with Windows 7 certification and with graphics drivers will cause delays to Intel's Cedar Trail-M, according to Taiwanese wire Digitimes.

That means that the Cedar Trail-M  chips, touted by Intel as the next generation of Atom microprocessors, will be released in November rather than September, the wire claimed.

Its source for the story are unamed notebook manufacturers familiar with Intel's plans.

Digitimes says that the Cedar Trail-M chips have an integrated GPU and two processors both using 32 nanometre technology will supersede current processors Atom N475 and Atom N455.

Two other Atom processors will also be delayed, according to Digitimes.
