AMD has designed a new roadmap for its 2012 line-up and added three new Zambezi / Bulldozer CPUs.
The roadmap slide, which has found its way to the Turkish Donamihaber, probably via China, shows that the FX-4150, FX-8120 and FX-6120 models are due to be released in Q1. AMD has kept quiet about these which is strange because they could be in the shop anytime soon.
The slide describes the FX-4150 as a quad-core processor with a base speed of 3.9GHz. It has a Turbo clock of 4.1GHz and 12MB of L2 and L3 cache.
The six core FX-6120 has a base speed of 3.5GHz which can be turboed up to 4.1Ghz. It has 14MB of cache.
The eight core FX-8140 has a base clock of 3.2GHz, a Turbo clock of 4.1GHz and 16MB cache. All three are rated at 95W TDP.
The slide also shows that AMD plans to release its quad-core Trinity APU models with A10 and A8 processors in Q2 2012. These will be followed by A6 and A4 dual-core versions in Q3.
The version beyond Q2 2012 is based on the Code Name: Piledriver which AMD referred to as Enhanced Bulldozer in an older road map which now does not exist.
AMD's Trinity APU's are based on Piledriver which is said to be faster than Llano by as much as 50% via the GPU and 25% via the CPU in a clock for clock environment.
It was said that AMD has been tweaking Piledriver for some time now to fully maximize the reasoning behind the core to core sharing aspect of the design.
