Last week TechEye had the opportunity to talk to a spokesperson from the UK Indian Business Council at a UK Trade and Investment conference, so we took it. Could it be that every level involved in the UK is fully aware of lobbying from the Indian services industry - mega corporations like Wipro and Tata Group? It'd be hard not to.
As one IT contractor tells TechEye, it "won't be long before Ratan Tata is knighted". Tata is embroiled in the ongoing Radia tapes spectrum scandal over in India, which suggests telcos lobbied government officials for a slice of 2g spectrum pie. It's a real mess, there are more leaked tapes to come. Our Virudh Sen in India writes it up here.
How can we trust gigantic services companies with fair-handed deals in the United Kingdom when there's a storm of mistrust and underhanded deals being exposed in India? What is the opinion of the Radia leaks of the UK India Business Council - which works closely with Tata and friends? Ratan Tata has been to the supreme court attempting to put a gagging order on the conversations - we wonder why.
The chap we asked fell silent and redirected the question to Caroline Erskine, Business Services Manager. The UK Indian Business Council "has no opinion" on the tapes. Er...
And just why was Ratan Tata granted so many audiences with David Cameron? As the Coalition went through, he was one of the very first in business to have a chat with Cameron. The first was in June, then again in July. In October he was included in Cameron's business adviser's group.
In fact, as a contractor tells us, "Tata has a huge amount of access to the senior government people to lobby for his conglomerate's interests."
The UKIBC says, simply put, that the reason is because he's a major investor in the UK. Never mind the continued Intra Company Transfer Visa problems which threaten to continue to pull cash straight from British coffers.
Indian workers brought on shore are not exactly getting an easy ride, either. We've heard of workers being seriously underpaid and encouraged to eat out for every meal, claiming back with receipts - this is part of their "salary".
We have emailed a long list of questions to Erskine but do not expect a response to any. She offered TechEye an opportunity to "learn more about IT servicing" if we wanted any sort of official line.
ICT Visas were left well alone in the immigration cap. The Economist says this is a rare good thing from the cap, but then it serves Big Business.
In the meantime, it seems at least one Member of Parliament thinks ICT Visas are a cause for concern. The Right Honourable John Redwood MP has put questions to Theresa May. TechEye eagerly awaits a response.

Having a dictator or a stupid-dumb conniving-cunning politician means having the capacity-capability to choose and that all is not lost, whereas having saintly politicos means perfection is at the helm - which all know and realise is not the case - thereby facilitating the perfumed ones to continue with its business as usual, rationalised as “power”. When Humanity finally realises that It is not Truth, Love nor Intelligence, we will then begin to have real choices - either to be pure of desire or have the desire for the [ignorant’s idea of the] pure. Only by accepting that we are nowhere near where we should be, will we firstly stop the finger-pointing/desire for purity and secondly will we then choose to go with either being pure within one’s desire, or otherwise.
Only through realising the subtle but essential difference between seeking purity, oka knowledge/truth, and being pure, oka empowerment/realisation [the, “To be or not to be”, allusion], will the cross-over begins, which is when the seeking for purity has come to nowt and the prospect either becomes a gone case [as in being addicted to his quest for Fame, Fortune & Immortality] or he starts introspecting and delving into his conscience. Like Siddharta Gautama who, after seeking in futility, finally rested His “case” and relinquished His thoughts [the seeking for purity bit] under a banyan tree, was He then gifted the realisation of His Self and became The Buddha, which in His [and Mahavira’s case] was God Realisation/becoming Divine, Buddha being God’s [reflected as Humanity’s] Ego and Mahavira being God’s [reflected as Humanity’s] SuperEgo. The case of Jesus Christ or Yeso/da Krish/na, relates to the human brain where He resides/presides at the crossing of the optic chiasma with the 4 spokes of the cross being The Pineal [at the back], The Pituitary [at the front], The Ego [at/on the left - due to the cross-over of the brain lobes] and The SuperEgo [at/on the right], all symbolising the upper tetrahedral pyramid being a stable one, resting on its base. This stablity relates to how Divinity is reflected onto Humanity [at the fontanel area] - the construction being from Permanence/Top to Transience/Bottom [whereas the lower pyramid, because it is sitting on its apex, as alluded to by the sacrum/sacred bone, constructs from Transience/instability to Permanence/stability. As such, Divinity is at the top/heaven and Humanity is at the bottom/hell, with the bottom pyramid/tetrahedron being Carbon/Humanity [at the perineum]. Anal sexology, which used to be verbolten/”specialist” territory, is now quite common/liberated/democratised amongst all sexual groupings in the “developed/intellectualised West” - perhaps such sexologists should be aware. When “The Gates of Hell” is “unguarded”, the pure relationship between Electricity/Sister and Magnetism/Brother is broken and all sorts of nervous/electrical illnesses will surfaced - perhaps “medical scientists” ought to get their self-realisation/rest under their banyan tree and then “discover” as opposed to continuously saving/eliciting-worshipping and Counting de Money/Norwegian-Explosions.
Without facing one’s true position relative to Reality, we will not get to the position where we have the choice to opt for Evolution or Devolution. The bad news then is that fence-sitting is the same as gambling with Devolution/The Bookie, oka known as lacking Benevolence/Progress, there being no shades of grey in Reality whereas Relativity is all about shades of grey, gambling that somehow, fence-sitting just might meant that the choice was correct whilst not having chosen, virtual choice, and therefore having to suffer the consequences of being a hypocrite/insincere. Why do people lack clarity of judgement? Because most either judge others, oka over-judgement, or under-judge themselves. All “over” or “under” does, is to maintain the devolutionary status quo of being conceptual/imaginary.
In Reality, there is no need/requirement for judgment other than not participating in that which lacks benevolence. Let hypocrisy-insincerity be the choice of the Famous, Fortunate & Immortal for Devolution is merely a series of lessons and not a series of engagements, that of trying to make others pure whilst not being pure oneself, oka Hypocrisy-Insincerity. Have compassion, but not sympathy, for those who are lost, having become lessons for highlighting others’ path to Evolution. Salvation/Compassion for the wicked is when others have realised the message within the lesson/wickedness displayed whilst reacting is the snaring the impure of desire onto becoming the same as those they had reacted to. We cannot save anyone or anything in reality other than our self, with the real others being the same as one’s purity/pure desire. To seek is to become impure when all the seeking results in nothing real, only concepts/the fruits of gambles/the lack of benevolence, Benevolence being Joy and Bliss, not euphoria and ecstacy, with the Pure Desire of God [The Witness/Truth/Potential] being Love The Almighty/Kinetic.
