Possibly the most evil company in the world has spent $700 million to buy a flight information system company called ITA, confirming rumours circulating earlier this week.
Google had found itself bidding against other companies like Expedia to snatch ITA but it's almost certain that different regulatory authorities will cast their eyes over the deal.
Eric Schmidt-Trigger, CEO of Google, said in a prepared statement that ITA's technology will let Google create new ways for people to easily find fright, sorry flight information online. "We're looking forward to welcoming them to Google," said Schmidt-Trigger. ITA had a deal with Microsoft's search enging, Bling.

As Jane Austen said in Pride and Prejudice: "How little of permanent happiness could belong to a couple who were only brought together because their passions were stronger than their virtue." And "It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife."
