A former Microsoft corporate manager has decided to follow his pipe dreams. After things went to pot at the software joint, James Shively has decided to make the most of a recently-approved marijuana bill in Washington and announced plans to launch a premium drug business in the state.
According to KiroTV.com, Shively has already hashed out a plan to sell his products at high prices. We are not sure if it will be a joint venture.
It is also claimed that he wants to name the business after his great-grandfather, Diego Pellicer, who is said to be a pioneer marijuana production in the late 19th century.
Those after a cheap hit may have to look elsewhere. Shively claims the premium marijuana would be positioned similar to a fine cognac or cigar.
Under new laws taking place on 6 December it will be legal for adults 21 and older to possess marijuana in Washington. The state of Washington estimates it will rake in about $2 billion over the next five years on marijuana taxes alone.
