The dying Apple CEO Steve Jobs treasured a letter from Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates so much, he kept it by his death bed.
The pair fought each other for decades and Jobs slagged Gates off in his biography as an 'unimaginative' person who 'ripped off' other people's ideas'.
Gates wrote Jobs a letter telling him how he should feel great about what he had done and the company he had built.
Gates said that after Jobs snuffed it, he got a call from Mrs Jobs saying that Jobs really appreciated his letter.
"Look, this biography really doesn't paint a picture of the mutual respect you had," Laurene Powell told Gates. Gates said that Jobs had appreciated his letter and kept it by his bed, the former head Vole told the Telegraph.
Bill Gates also said Jobs was an incredible genius who contributed immensely to the technology field.
Gates praised Jobs' work on iPhones and iPads and he thought that both enjoyed each others' work.
He admitted that the pair spent a lot of time competing and there were lots of times when Steve said critical things about him.
At times there were harsh examples which could develop into a litany.

Only the truly free will act intelligently when they are gifted free-will whereas those who are not free will do as any self-oppressed fool does - to run amok as a bull does in a Chinashop in addition to demanding that others do the same too and calling that religiosity “Democracy”. You really cannot make these sort of things up, now, could you, but just look at the minority of controlling politicos being abandoned and justifying those moments of want through “debates”, “democracy”, “opinion”, “referendum” - in fact anything other than doing what is natural like breathing. In this manner of abandonment after control, a moment will arrive when a new efficient [by 0.384%] method of breathing will be instituted but all will have to pay a monthly rental. Of course. Just like the religious nutters and their “transcendental leap-frogging”, say. The minds of The Past and The Future never end if only because they are the wants and not the need/The Present. Yet Another Simplicity which Eludes.
BTW: "Mrs. Gates" called her hubby to convey Jobs' reaction to the letter? Wow, she does get around. Must be great having a wife with intimate, inside sources...or did she glean this info during a séance?
