THE US's largest membership warehouse club chain has decided to kill off its range of Apple gear.
At Costco's fiscal first-quarter earnings call, Chief Financial Officer Richard Galanti confirmed the retailer is in the process of phasing out Apple products from its shelves.
According to the Seattle Times, Costco has had a gutsful about the way it has been treated by Jobs' Mob.
Despite its size, the wholesaler Apple refused to let Costco buy stock of products like the iPad while rivals like Sam's Club, Wal-Mart Stores, and Target were given access.
Jobs also refused to let Costco flog Apple's products through its own online store. It was banned from carrying out any of the signficant discounts that made the warehouse famous.
Costco has used its large power to force manufacturers into line in the past.
It even told the mighty Coca-Cola that it would stop flogging its brand of brown fizzy stuff during a pricing row last year. The two outfits worked it out.
In this case, Apple is not keen to give up its method of telling retailers exactly how to flog its products and as a result Costco can't be bothered.
While you can't argue that Steve Jobs' methods have been successful, one can't help wondering how much more successful Apple would be if it was not for the over reaching control problems he seems to have.
I'm surprised that St. Eve of Jobs doesn't restrict sales to his little fruityco stores, where his "products" can be lovingly pleasured by those few pathetic fruityco fanbois that exist.
I've been working in industry for over 30 years, and have yet to see fruityco "products" any place where there is real work to be done. Guess they are appropriate only for uselessly parasitical glitterati. They can have 'em. Nothing but crap.
Humanity is full of dualities/concepts because most do not realise what or why they exist for. We exist to prove that Evolution, the super, super, super set of mere evolution, is real and not a concept - when we are able to transcend the realm of the material onto the realm of the infinite where the material does not exist other than being a springboard, akin to using weaponry as an utility, to realise triumph through adversity, but caution is advised when dissecting this concept - and it is a concept when one tries to realise infinity through the materially attached thoughts of one’s past and future.
Although thoughts of the past, oka emotion, and the future, oka intellect, have no limits in reality, in practice they are limited by the lack of the realisation of the non-material, being attached to the material in order to hang onto dear life. The infinite dimension is Spirituality, the proof that Evolution, oka The Return Journey of Dust Back to The Source of the Big Bang, is real. The problem then is that those who have yet to realised this-reality/spirituality are then turned into conceptual beings, the one who is either “under” or “over”, the joke being that “under” is merely “over” suppressed and “over” is just “under” expressed. Got it yet? Better send for the quacks then for there is nothing like saviourship, oka pills, butchery and deception, being the order of the day. At a minimum £100k per annum, that is a mere £273.97 per day, including hloidays, weekends, waiting list and that biggy, saviourship, all courtesy of The Immortal One, oka The Liberator of Concepts, colloquially known as being infinite whilst being conceptual. A concept which even Divinity has problems grappling.
The likes of Apple are merely concepts baited by The Bookie in order that disagreements exist to fuel the merry-go-round in preference to the helical, oka true progress. The way Reality dismantles these [circulatory] concepts is through individuals who have managed escape the clutches of concepts through being witnesses and not reactants/participants, those who are forever “for” or “against”. Like a journey being the sum of its steps, through the empowerment of absolute discrimination after being pure in desire through negating their desire of purity, oka Fame, Fortune & Immortality, those who have realised their Self then becomes a source/an example of Purity thereby enabling others to realised theirs too. Thereafter, once Love has reached the desired moment, Divinity will remove the concepts, each and every one of them.
Humanity’s duty is not to remove Concepts, oka Devolution, our one and only duty is to become truly human, the one who is part of Infinity/Spirituality after being Finite. When enough humans have self realised, when humanity has reach its “critical mass”, The Rider of The White Horse will arrive [The White Horse being already present and constructing The Rider] and this incarnation will not debate, illuminate, perform miracles, nor will He talk, He too will merely do His Job, that of removing those little, little, wealthy, privileged, special, talented and conceptual jobbites and their Bookie. “Good riddance to gambling/experiments”, is all that is needed to be said whilst not forgetting that it is the message which is the concept, not the messenger, oka puppet who has yet to realisd his finite and wider reality.
Do not react/participate, for the love which expects is merely latent hate. Learn to witness no matter how unbearable it may seemed for witnessing is learning, teaching being merely instilling guilt-cum-anger. Witnessing is why humans raised their heads for whilst at the same moment ceasing to bow to Grandmother Earth. The ability to witness is to become [part of] Respect per se, thereby neutralising/debunking disrespect, be that of others, oka anger, or of one self, oka guilt. Uncle Sammy is the witnessing aspect of the whole cosmos which is why they have neither self respect nor do they respect others. For them greed-cum-fear becomes the driver. The unimaginably Complex/Divinity has to be Simplicity/Humanity or else Complexity has no meaning. Learn to be simple of heart and intellect and one’s desire will soon become pure, others being mere knowledge whilst self is the reality. Do not become others for the sake of Fame, Fortune & Immortality. Hands up those whose heart bleeds because they could not become cancerous as their targets. You? the one who wants to own others, excused as helping others when you could not even help yourself.
