The prime candidates for governor are former Ebay CEO Meg Whitman (Republican) and Democrat Buddhist Jerry Brown. The candidates for senator are Winsome Carly (Republican) and Barbara Boxer (Democrat).
The San Francisco Chronicle appears to think Carly Fiorina has a chance, because 13 percent of voters are undecided which way they’re going to go.
If the Chronicle is right, it could lead to a “dream” or perhaps that should be “nightmare” ticket where the state is effectively governed by techie CEOs.
Techie CEOs often find themselves to the right of the political spectrum, with Intel’s Paul Otellini a firm Republican supporter. However, Google CEO Eric “Do no Evil” Schmidt, is a bit of a liberal and a Democrat supporter.
