UK Prime Minister David Cameron is to appoint Eric Schmidt, CEO of Google, to a new council of business leaders which will advise the government on business and economic matters, effectively giving Google and other big companies a say in how the country is run.
The surprise news is said to be scheduled for a public announcement tomorrow when Cameron reveals the plans behind the 20 strong council, which will include not only Google but a number of other big names like pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline, alcoholic drinks firm Diageo, and leading UK telco BT.
The link between Google and world governments has been on the cards before, with many raising concerns about the close ties between Obama's government and Schmidt, but until now there has not been an official appointment of the search giant to a council by the UK government.
In the past there have been some ties, such as one of Cameron's advisors, Steve Hilton, being married to Google's vice-president of Global Communications and Public Affairs, Rachel Whetstone, not to mention Cameron's appearance at the Google Zeitgeist conference in San Francisco in 2007.
However, none of these add up to advising government on how to do its job, which raises serious questions about these companies potentially offering advise that is only in their interests. While the government is obviously keen to stimulate the economy and encourage more businesses to operate within the UK, many will be suspicious about Google and others whispering words of wisdom in Cameron's ear.
When a chimp declares that bananas is the way forwards, you've gottas ask yourself one question, "Is the guy nuts ... or is he merely into bananas?" Fruity it is, especialy when the blinded-cum-blind declares hindsight, nearsight, and foresight. Truly the stupid has no cognizance of what their stupidity is, because privilege, being special, gifted, and "all the other stuff" is not the point, the reality being that when a person is blind[ed to putting all his marbles into one basket], he'll have to see that belief [system] right util the end [game].
Such is the nature of gambles which is why gambling the most favoured activity of the “developed” human, like that of insurance, stock market, housing, old crapolas like “antiques”, cars and other forms of junking, and so forth, the joke being that outright/honestly gambling is seen as evil [because “eets is addictive and we must protect and save” !!] and must be avoided. Much like the contemporary idea of “Saving” zist und zat, especially tree-stumps from “dictators”, crooks and more, which is why round robbin’ outright crookedness is celebrated as “Politics”, “Entrepreneurial”, “Financial”, and that bigge, “Social”.
Should Divinity exists, how is He-She going to make sense out of this hypocritical, cunning, religious, anmd self-deluding lot of the living-but-dead? By being reflected within these jokers, much like the creatures burstin’ forth from within its victims’ bodies in Sci-Fi movies - except they don’t need to burst forth, the lunatic-cum-idiotic merely developing “illnesses” - for “trespassing” his innateness. But what about saviours to that rescue, then? That’s when the principle of saviourship-cum-worship is exposed - for the benevolence of those who are pure of true vision - to have the courage to judge [and not be self-depracating, oka guilty-cum-angry, of] oneself. When Ownership/Dominion departs, Reality returns - which is why all will be wrenched away from their possessions/possiveness one fine day - for another round of, hopefully, not of the same. To the “saving” of others’ superficial selves but not one of truly saving one’s real self. How hypocritical and ignorant is that? Or is that merely dumbness-cum-stupidity, or vice-versa? Not when saviours, especially quackeries of all sorts, abound.
