Apple's plan to invade Google territory with its iAd idea is starting to like it should have been designed by a bald headed bloke stroking a white cat, than a San Francisco peddler of over-priced goods.
Last week Apple released new rules which it things will kick Google's AdMob in its favourite assets by brokering its ads inside iPhone and iPad apps.
However Apple is insisting that anyone who writes an iPhone and iPad apps may only share user-interaction data with Apple.
This means that only Apple's iAds platform can know when users view and interact with embedded ads.
Google will be shut out from the scheme and and other ad-broker systems apparently won't be able to see it either.
We are starting to see how evil Apple is getting when it comes competition. We have seen it killing off applications in its App stores which prevent competition however this one really is a kicker.
Wired.com's Eliot Van Buskirk concluded that iAd rivals " will lose just about every advantage they currently possess over a paper flyer pasted to the side of a building."
Jobs Mob will take the best ads within iPhone and iPad apps and it is going to charge an arm and a leg for them.
Valley Wag said that ad agency Hill Holiday told it that iAd will contain "premium... expensive" ads built on "high-quality creative."
It otherwords the technology to spy on users ad deliver advertising to them has got Ad men moist. This is probably a bad sign for users.
One of the main advantages Apple has in selling the idea is that it has a loyal band of fanboys who will do what ever Steve Jobs says without question. It also appears to have a get out of jail free card with most of the IT press in the US.
With few people asking questions, or at least writing to their congressman to complain, it looks like Apple will create a walled garden with the iPad and iPhone with everything that stings customers allowing Steve Jobs to have expensive holidays somewhere nice and hot.

They have constructed a nice business model that benefits both Apple and the author.
How do think Google gives search results out. The ones paying big bills are on the top. They and neither can you put the blaim on Apple taking a piece of the (ad)cake.
Within the relative realm, the drive of those who are unaware [because they are mostly unconscious of their realitiy] is to become infinite through owning all. The lunatic-cum-idiotic’s concept of collectivity much like those who make artificial flowers and calling it an “artistic effort”. Who we are is reality and not what we project to others.
The aim of growth is progess and progress in Reality is to evolve whereas progress in relativity is to gain weight/size. As all know, quality before quantity. So-called “globalisation” has pushed the concept of infinity to new heights of easy-come, easy-go, but a real price will have to be paid because all of existence/evolution is for realising Evolution - to become truly human and not merely breathing and owning/possessing/attachments.
As the end-time approaches, more realities will be made evident through more expositions but only for those who are courageous enough to see and seeing is about being within-the-present/within-oneself and not dwelling in the past or projecting to the future/others. There is no way a for chimp to realise, say, fragrance, other than through the gift of self-realisation [which, because all of the natural world are merely props within The Play of Life, they are therefore not about pros & cons/able to self-realised other than for alluding to the existence of evolution], which only a true human being is so gifted. That is all wasted if we will not allow ourself to see our true self/inrospect other than to perpetually goaded/groomed to finger-point.
A thief-cum-beggar is who he is. Whether he grows bigger or not is of no relevence to others. What matters is for the individual not to be drawn into that mire/cyclical-wheel whilst remembering that cruelty/greed [which is subtlelty/fear in latency/at another moment] has no other duty other than to make others so. Realising that then, is another small step towards Self-Realisation, the moment which is one’s real freedom and when that happens, one will be in Collectivity/Love with those who are similarly realised.
When we are able to forgive/detach oneself and therefore [from] others, Nature/Reality/Love is then freed to act against those who are trying to promote devolution. He-She has deemed not to interfere unless and until we have relinquished our attachments. This is why the forgiving firstly of oneself which then leads automatically to the forgiving others, is so vital to one’s evolution. The magical route towards Reality/Collectivity/Love/Self is through relinquishing/detaching-from Relativity/Diversity/Others. Regardless of what we have accumulated, it will have to be relinquished for nobody owns anything in Reality which why owning imaginations, oka thoughts of the past and/or the future, are the only [detrimental] aspects we keep when we depart. Ever seen a drunk when he loses his Attention [to some “busybody”]?
